Some birds don’t migrate and as Oslo has taken away many natural bird homes to make way for ‘progress’, Oslo has certainly taken on responsibility to rehouse their birds.

I wonder how the birds feel about having to live in apartment blocks?

It doesn’t really snow in Oslo for Christmas and the city is too far down the northern hemisphere to get the Northern Lights.  So to give some Christmas cheer to the Osloenser in the dark season the city burns enough juice to make sure the astronauts can find Norway.

The sun never goes down during this season but the mountains to the East are so high that the sun still has to raise above them in the morning hours and an artificial dawn-effect wakes the city.
