No use waiting for the weekend, every time I opened the fridge the blueberries we picked were crying out to me ‘eat us… eeeat us’. … It’s a waiting game though – if we pick now not all the blueberries will be ripe but if we wait too long a passer-by might beat us to it.
I think Autumn is my favourite season in Norway – the weather is still warm here in Tromsø, the sunsets come down over the mountains again and the blueberries are ripe for the picking.

Nisse parties happen in many kindergartens, primary schools, church and community groups in Norway. They are a casual celebration of the julenisse (Christmas elf) tradition especially for children (but the big kids love them too).
This is our view to the west. After work the shore becomes alive with activity. Tromsøværing (the Tromsø folk) make the most of the afternoon sun with fishing, jogging and rollerskiing.
