One of the things Norwegians are certainly masters of is eating in season. It is smart, economical and environmentally conscious, a long tradition that has paid off.
Naturally, Nordic peoples survived on large quantities of red meat (including sea mammals) and fish, breads (because grain stored well), fresh native fruits and plants in the summer and maybe a few stored root veg in the winter. This is NOT the new Nordic Diet fad.
