Man beats up own car

Picture not related
Police in Alta had to stop a violent attack of a somewhat unusual nature this weekend. A young man, apparently dissatisfied with his own car, decided to give the vehicle a good beating.
“I will admit that this is one of those violent episodes we don’t encounter very often”, says operation leader Leif Magne Thomassen at the West Finnmark police district.
The car basher didn’t stop punishing the car until police arrived, end even then he got difficult and resisted arrest. He was allowed to spend the rest of the night in the police holding cell to cool down. He was also routinely charged with disturbance of peace. The man’s reason for attacking his own car is yet unknown.

Nisse parties happen in many kindergartens, primary schools, church and community groups in Norway. They are a casual celebration of the julenisse (Christmas elf) tradition especially for children (but the big kids love them too).
