Clogs
Plastic clogs are very popular in Norway, not because they are sexy but because they are comfy. I have seen doctors and nurses wear them at the hospital and dentists wearing them in the surgery. Chefs wear them (and look a little amusing when they come out and meet you). A lot of hygienic work places use them, actually. We certainly wear them on the farm. Easy to wash (the chicken poop off), easy to get on and off, and cheap. We farmers are big fans of the clog. The clog even comes in steel-caps at the farmer’s store so you can milk the cow or shear the sheep in them with safety.

(Here I am modeling my khaki-coloured clogs on top of a wheelbarrow of chicken-barn mulch. Lovely.)
