Photo-Bombers!
Animals have great timing! Just when you think you have the perfect shot a little head pops up to say hello. My Little Norway has posted over 2500 pictures since Aug 2008 when we hit the blog scene and have taken thousands more, so there is bound to be some crazy beast taking advantage of the opportunity. We certainly haven’t escaped the animal photo-bombers.
Birds are the worst. I’m sure they are conspiring against us. When the coast is clear ready to take a picture sure enough you get a few black dots in the sky. Sometimes the birds just won’t get out of the way and so you have to wait for them to get into an ok composition before taking the shot.
Other flying things also get in on the act. A fly-by bee will certainly have to make you take another picture.
And who would have thought that mosquitos would make the shot? These guys were sticking around no matter what. A swarm gathered around me and so I had to settle with taking the shot knowing I’d have to photoshop them out afterwards.
Our farm animals also love the lime-light. We were taking pictures in the birch tree forrest and the Lyngen horse just wouldn’t get the hint that we didn’t want him in the shot. Moose had to hold him so I could have free reign over the vista.
Bear, our Saint, thought photo-bombing was a fun game. After five shots of him running into the picture while Moose was wielding an axe and we had to call it quits.
The cows gave me a fright. I had a perfect shot and as I clicked the little bulls nibble on my shirt.
And my favourite – wooly-bombers. They have no sense of ‘picture’ space. Sheep are such sticky-beaks.
