No Alt for Norge this Week
Unfortunately, TVNorge had a finale of a celebrity cooking show that took up the regular time slot of Alt for Norge. I’m sure everyone has complained to the TV station already as the cooking show doesn’t compare to the success of Alt for Norge. The show, Four Star Dinner, is a try-hard reality show with b-grade celebrities hosting dinner parties, and trying to act interesting and fun. But the station promised to return Alt for Norge next week. So sorry, you’ll have to wait til then for the next episode.
But here is a picture of one of our cows:

In Norway, there are still Lefse recipes around from the 1630s! This is supposedly the traditional and original Hardanger recipe used:
Reindeer herding is more than just an occupation, it is a way of life and an integral part of the Sami culture and identity.
How Norway became a country is shrouded in mystery and folklore. The most well known tale is of Harald Hårfagre who gathered the small kingdoms of the north into a unified nation in 872AD – and of course, this story is about love.
Even though the males are called bulls and the females cows, the muskoxen are more closely related to sheep than cattle. Make no mistake, though – this is not your average cuddly ba-ba-blacksheep! A grown animal can be 2,5 m long and weigh up to 400 kgs, and their long curved horns mean business.
Towards the water in a beautiful pocket of leafy oak trees is the Byneset Church.
whew, so glad as i remembered just this minute that i forgot to tune in…
I was crazy looking for it… The 4 Stjerners Middag is a really crappy show, inspired by an english one (also crappy, but with amateurs instead of celebrities)…
To make it up to us, they should air two episodes next week!
Thank heavens, I thought I’d missed it again this week. Had a parent meeting at my son’s daycare last night.
I like reading your blog L-Jay, keep up the writing!

Haha, they aren’t even B-grade celebrities. More like Z-grade celebrities. Most of them I’ve never heard about, at all. Yeah, it’s a sucky show.
