Snow Pyjamas
Moose has always gone out on the farm in the middle of Winter with just shorts and no shirt on, and sometimes without shoes! And I always profess that he is absolutely crazy!
It just so happens that last week I found myself in the middle of a paddock in just my pyjamas! Boy, do these Norwegians rub off on you!

Is it hard to get a job in Norway?
Even though the males are called bulls and the females cows, the muskoxen are more closely related to sheep than cattle. Make no mistake, though – this is not your average cuddly ba-ba-blacksheep! A grown animal can be 2,5 m long and weigh up to 400 kgs, and their long curved horns mean business.
Nisse parties happen in many kindergartens, primary schools, church and community groups in Norway. They are a casual celebration of the julenisse (Christmas elf) tradition especially for children (but the big kids love them too).
Norwegians love their mountainous nature so much they spend whatever time they can in it – for recreation, fitness, hunting or just family time.
In Norway, there are still Lefse recipes around from the 1630s! This is supposedly the traditional and original Hardanger recipe used:
Even in the peak of summer our mountains have touches of snow.
Yea, I was wondering if I was the only one getting made fun of for wearing a winter coat by a Scandinavian/Yooper (from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan) transplant. LOL

Norwegians must be like seals – having a thick coating a blubber under the skin to keep them warm in the coldest of weather. If I’m cold I always know I can put my feet to warm them up – on Moose! – and he doesn’t even mind! In fact, sometimes he grunts and says ‘Bring it on!’
Cute picture!
I notice ways in which my Norwegian is rubbing off on me everyday…
