Skiing to School
Every university has bike racks to allow students to save both the environment and their money. But what do you do when the snow is three feet deep and riding your bike suddenly seems less desirable? Tromsø University had a simple solution: Install a ski rack. This one at the entrance to the Medical faculty is always filled to capacity during the winter months.

Wow. I think that has got to be the coolest thing ever. Here in rainy, warm Seattle we can only dream of snow like that. What a wonderful thing to be able to combine such great excersize with your commute to work or school. Idyllic.
My eight year sooooo wants to ski to school – but we live across the road from the school so it’s a short trip…..
My grandmother used to tell me that is how she used to get to school. Such great overall exercise too.
Brilliant! We would love have the same here in London. Shame there isn’t enough snow!
