Yellow Memories
This tree on the farm was my favourite. During the Summer, squirrels played in its branches. In the Winter the branches collected the falling snow. In the Autumn the leaves turned a magnificent yellow.
But as the seasons change, so do farms. The tree was gone when we visited last Autumn. It will be missed but now the Summer sun can come through the window and light up the house.

Norway enters the Christmas season early.
The sun never goes down during this season but the mountains to the East are so high that the sun still has to raise above them in the morning hours and an artificial dawn-effect wakes the city.
Confirmations were important for entrance into adult life. One had to have their confirmation to be able to work or get married.
A popular Summer activity in Norway is kayaking. The coast of Norway is dotted with thousands of little islands making the perfect conditions for a smooth paddle.
Norwegian dogs were born with a purpose. They were bred to be hunting dogs, herding dogs and farm dogs.
What kind of tree is that? It looks like a tamarack, which is common in Canada, but I didn’t think grew in Europe. Is it an indigenous species? Beautifully photographed, by the way.

The tree is a larch. They grow in the cold north of the world so I guess Canada should have these trees too.
Yellow is my favorite color and you have the best pictures. I also love larches. Amazing.
