There is something in the mountains in Norway that make them turn a metallic blue. There doesn’t even have to be sunlight on them to have this mystic colour. These mountains can be seen especially in the North. There metallic is sometimes so strong they look like silvery oil paintings. I wonder what element makes them turn so vibrant.
On any celebration table in Norway you can always find a Norwegian layer cake (bløtkake). What better way to celebrate Norwegian Constitution Day than with fresh cream, wild berries and a little bit of sponge in between.

From the west, a wall of stone Saints and Prophets will confront you. All sides of the Cathedral are very textured and deserve a long walk around. You’ll see gargoyles and gothic arches, thick wooden doors with rusty floral art and Anglo-Norman/Romanesque bits and pieces ‘stuck on’ that intensifies your ground view. However, the outside of Nidaros Cathedral is even more intriguing when you know the history.

Hei hei! I just recenly found your site and I love it. Reading your postings gives me motivation to learn more about Norway and the language(s).
The Norwegian landscape is very beautiful to me. I hope to see the fjords or travel to the northern areas one day. I know of a Dutch-language photo-sharing website that has hundreds of photos from Norway. I use some of the photos are background image for my desktop. If L-Jay or Moose doesn’t mind I can post the link.

It’s a Dutch website but easy to navigate. A norwegian friend of mine from Ballangen (now living in The Netherlands) originally told me about it and she has a few pictures posted there as well.
