Autumn Textures

Reindeer is synonymous with Sami culture and life but the Norsemen have certainly cottoned onto the goodness of reindeer cuisine. This rustic meal is perfect for cold Winter nights and packs you with energy for the next day of playing in the snow.
The further ‘out of the way’ you go the more common it is to see folk cottages standing by the side of roads, along fjords or in a thicket of trees, minding their own business.
Norwegian dogs were born with a purpose. They were bred to be hunting dogs, herding dogs and farm dogs.
Today herding reindeer is synonymous with the Sami culture. It is recently thought that the Vikings were the first people to herd reindeer.

So beautiful! Those photos are full of a sense of peace, and remind me of what I love about this time of year.
As dreary as the weather’s been here in the Pacific Northwest this week, I’ve seen some beautiful leaves on the ground, which I would have loved to have taken pictures of if I’d had my camera with me.
You’ve captured the beauty of the season very well.
