Swings in the Playground

The ‘Huske’ (or Swings) are very popular in children’s playgrounds. In nearly every one I’ve been to they have this fantastic bowl-swing that is low to the ground and usually big enough to fit the whole family in. It’s great to be able to sit in with the kids and have a ride. I had to bail out of this Huske-ride though (somebody had to take the pictures…lol!)
‘Huske’ is also the Norwegian word for remember. I guess its quite fitting as jumping in one always makes you remember the fun of being a kid again.

I’m learning some Norwegian words through your blog, L-Jay. Over the years of hearing the language spoken while growing up, I’ve picked up some but would love to learn. Maybe you could have one day a week to teach a few Norwegian words or phrases?
