Sami don't take credit cards let alone use websites to sell their stuff. You'd have to go to a tourist site (and pay big bucks).</em>

My intro to reindeer was at your in-laws farm in Alta.

Your farfar used to have a small herd and I understand he no longer does. I know people age and it probably doesn't make sense for him to have them anymore (if it ever did) but it still makes me sad as I remember your farfar getting a lot of enjoyment out of his reindeer.

One time I had to feed the reindeer because Moose and Family had traveled to Sweden. I made the mistake of walking into the pen with the bucket of "mossy" stuff in my hands. They sure do like their food and their antlers can kind of hurt. After a few seconds, I just chucked the bucket in the air and ran.

I miss the old Farm in Alta. I miss the reindeer.

Farfar used to have some regular deer as well in a pen. Once a gaupe got one of the deer so he had it slaughtered and gave us a bunch of the meat. All we had to cook it in was a toaster oven. We managed.

What fascinating information about reindeer! I've actually had the opportunity to eat it too. A friend was an avid hunter and brought some back for us. I love the pictures.
