Winter by the Shore
On the south side of Tromsø Island. It is noon-day in the Polar Night. Even the rocks have a layer of ice. The landscape seems so delicate that it could crumble into millions of pieces and then melt away.

It’s a very beautiful landscape !! By looking at this photography, one feels that the weather is cold while remaining behind our screen!
Hi L-Jay,
Wow, noon? Is it always like that at noon during the Polar Night. Beautiful scenery, but I would miss the sun (though I did live in Oregon for 10 years where it rains for about nine months of the year!). Have to get outside and get some good exercise.
Congratulations on your award from Debbie!

Well, it gets a little darker – around the 21st-22nd of December is the peak of the Polar Night. This is when it is the darkest.
Thanks.
It looks like it would be so slippery to walk here. Your photography is great; I love your pics.

Yes, it was a little slppery – but I wear the biggest, grippiest boots around (I have to otherwise I would fall over just when standing…lol). Thanks for the compliment.
