Just Mist My First Day in Oslo
I landed at Oslo airport after a brain numbing 38 hour journey from Melbourne, Australia. This would be the first time I would see my new home. I walked through those last sliding doors into Norway, but saw nothing – no rolling hills, no frosted lakes, not even darkness from the polar night. A mysterious thick fog had crept into Oslo the night before and it would take another day before I could see anything. Talk about your anti-climax!

The sun never goes down during this season but the mountains to the East are so high that the sun still has to raise above them in the morning hours and an artificial dawn-effect wakes the city.
